Corporate policy statements

The standing policies of Real Code Ltd, trading as NetEvolution. Approved by the director, reviewed annually — current review 30 September 2026.

Anti-bribery & corruption

Real Code Ltd has zero tolerance of bribery and corruption, in line with the Bribery Act 2010. We do not offer, give, solicit or accept bribes or improper inducements in any form, and we do not use third parties to do so on our behalf.

Gifts and hospitality above trivial value are declined or disclosed to the director. Any suspected bribery is investigated and, where appropriate, reported to the relevant authorities.

Equal opportunities & dignity at work

We are an equal opportunities business operating under the Equality Act 2010. Engagement, pay, progression and day-to-day treatment never depend on age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage or civil partnership, pregnancy or maternity, race, religion or belief, sex or sexual orientation.

We do not tolerate bullying, harassment or victimisation. Concerns can be raised directly with the director and are investigated promptly and confidentially. Our full equality, diversity and inclusion statement is published separately in this pack.

Insurance

Real Code Ltd maintains professional indemnity, public liability and employers' liability insurance commensurate with its consultancy work.

Current certificate schedules and policy limits are provided to procurement teams on request — insurers' documentation is issued per period, so we supply the live schedule rather than publishing figures here that may be out of date.

Health & safety

Under the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 we take reasonable care of everyone who works with or for us. As a remote-first consultancy our principal duties relate to home-working ergonomics, screen-time wellbeing and, when visiting client sites, observing the client's own site rules and risk assessments.

Work-related stress and workload are reviewed in regular check-ins with the director, and reasonable adjustments are made on request.

Social value

In line with the intent of Procurement Policy Note 002, our social value contribution comes principally through skills and knowledge transfer: every engagement includes documentation, runbooks and training so client teams can operate and extend the systems we build — capability stays in the institution rather than leaving with the consultant.

We publish practical guidance in our Insights section, support open-source tooling where our engagements permit, and offer reduced-rate architecture reviews to organisations with a clear public benefit case.

Data protection

Real Code Ltd complies with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 and is registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (registration ZB939242). Our privacy notice explains what we collect, why, and your rights.

Client engagements are governed by written agreements covering confidentiality and, where personal data is processed, appropriate processing terms. Our delivery practices — scoped access, approval gates and audit logging — are described on the Governance & security page.

Whistleblowing

Anyone who raises a genuine concern about wrongdoing — internally or in our supply chain — is protected from retaliation. Concerns can be raised confidentially and directly with the director, and externally with relevant regulators where the internal route is not appropriate.

Fair payment & supply chain

We pay suppliers and subcontractors within the agreed terms in their contract — typically 14 to 30 days — and do not use unilateral deductions or retrospective changes. The same expectation applies in reverse: our terms of business set out transparent, fixed payment schedules for client work.
