Carbon reduction plan

Real Code Ltd, trading as NetEvolution. Structured around the requirements of PPN 06/21 for organisations bidding into public sector procurement. Baseline year: 2026 · Approved 30 September 2026.

Commitment to achieving Net Zero

Real Code Ltd is committed to achieving Net Zero emissions by 2050 at the latest, in line with the UK Government's target, and earlier where commercially practicable.

Baseline emissions footprint

2026 is our baseline reporting year. As a remote-first consultancy with no owned premises or vehicles, our direct footprint is minimal:

  • Scope 1 — nil. We own no premises, vehicles or combustion equipment.
  • Scope 2 — nil from purchased energy for premises; we lease no office space.
  • Scope 3 — our material categories are purchased services (cloud hosting and SaaS), homeworking energy, and occasional business travel.

Rather than publish invented figures, we record our baseline qualitatively this year and will publish quantified Scope 3 figures with the next annual review, using energy, travel and hosting data gathered through the year.

Emissions reduction targets

  • Quantify Scope 3 emissions from hosting, SaaS, homeworking and travel in the next annual review.
  • Keep business travel below five return journeys per year; default to video-first engagement.
  • Prefer hosting providers and regions powered by renewable energy for all new deployments.
  • Achieve Net Zero by 2050 at the latest.

Carbon reduction measures

  • Remote-first delivery — no commuting footprint and no serviced office to heat, light or maintain.
  • Static-first, efficiently built websites — the systems we deliver are engineered for low compute overhead, which reduces the energy cost of running them for clients.
  • Digital-first document handling — e-signed contracts, no printed materials.
  • Sustainable procurement — suppliers are asked about their own environmental commitments as part of onboarding.
